Renewed Like the Eagle
Eagles molt. Every year, the old feathers fall away and new ones grow in their place. For a season, flight is impossible. But what looks like loss is actually preparation — the old is removed so that something stronger can take its place. Renewal requires the shedding of what was.
If you find yourself in a season where strength feels distant, where what worked before no longer seems to be working, consider that you may be in a renewal season rather than a declining one. Waiting on God is not passive — it is the active posture of trust. New feathers are coming. The flight will be stronger for the waiting.
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary.”
— Isaiah 40:31
Take a moment to breathe and reflect.
